How do i set up a 'Justgiving' page if i want to get sponsors for doing a walk for DUK? never done one before and would love to do a walk and raise money for DUK
I've done it before and it's quite straightforward. There are some handy hints on how to get the most out of people, e.g. ask the most generous people first so you have some big donations at the top, put a photos of you on there, keep it updates with your progress etc.
Bear in mind that sites like Just Giving charge the charity you're raising money for between 2% and 5% of the donation as an admin fee.
http://www.btplc.com/mydonate/ is a not for profit site - it offers the same kind of service but doesn't charge any fee so everything you raise goes to the charity.
