Hey,
I've been trying so so hard to get everything back in balance for the last three months. It's not been easy and it hasn't been perfect but.....
I'm trying to eat better / cut out chocolate etc so decided to make a sweet and sour chicken from scratch for tea yesterday.
My test before tea was 5.2 which was brilliant! But then after 10 units and the chicken with rice my test after my meal was 19.1!!!!
I couldn't believe it! I was so fed up. I obviously misjudged the sauce with the chicken so I know what I did, but I was just so frustrated!!
Am having blood test on first May for my first consultant appointment in 20 or so years! I think I'm a bit scared about what they will say, or if they will take note about what I am trying to do after so long of not looking after myself.
Here's to having a better balance today!! Good luck to you all!

We all misjudge things sometimes with our sauces. One misjudged sauce doesn't normally make a huge difference to the three monthly blood tests. I am sure things will be fine and you will get through it with flying colours.

These mistakes are very common and they will always happen, so don't worry too much........

The fact your trying to get back on track is a positive thing, one which the consultant will be happy about......:D

I didn't know that Steff, but that may explain other peaks at times too. I shall pay more attention to it now. Thank you.

Well its trial and error violet hun im sure some get on fine with rice, alot on here find grapes shoot up there levels but im fine with them, its about establishing what food do to your levels, thats why your meter is the only thing that can tell you .

And Pepsi Max - which they always said was free of (practically) everything - shoots my BG into orbit, unlike Diet Coke ......

Just like having straight or curly hair or different legs - we are ALL different !
