Hello everyone. I am new to this group and wanted to say hi. My daughter (14) was diagnosed with type 1 a month ago. I would really like to chat to other people in our situation...so many worries right now. X

Hi Mosedale, welcome to the group....... We have numerous parents who will probably be only too happy to share their experience

Hi Mosedale and welcome. I'm type 2 but know you'll get lots of support on here. Lots of parents who know what you're going through.

Hi Mosedale - I was already adult when diagnosed so didn't have the awkward anyway without D years to contend with myself - BUT I do know that all newly diagnosed T1s whatever actual age they are when they start off can benefit by reading 'Type 1 Diabetes in children teens and young adults' by Ragnar Hanas - so for starters I recommend getting that and both/all of you, reading it.

Hi Mosedale from a T2
