Well done. What did you do in the last 3 months to achieve the improvement?

Thank you. I am taking metformin but I’ve tweaked things in my diet such as not eating bread daily and replacing toast at breakfast with berries, Greek yogurt, sprinkling of oats and a teaspoon of peanut butter. It’s delicious and filling. I’m eating more vegetables and cut back on choc, crisps and biscuits although haven’t cut them out altogether.

Sounds like you’ve made some good changes

I hope so. Really pleased with Hb1ac results which dropped mmol 78 to 58. Still a way to go but it’s a positive start.
Well done that's a good improvement but as you say a way to go. This link might help you with some ideas for a bit more tweaking of your diet. There may be some suggestions for substituting the crisps and biscuits. https://lowcarbfreshwell.co.uk/
I have Nature valley protein nut bars, KIND or shop own as they are all less than 10g carb per bar so better than biscuits, nuts are better than crisps and stick with dark chocolate as a treat.
Remember it is all carbs that convert to glucose not just 'sugar' so you need to watch your intake of those.

Hi Cheryl23711, welconem to the forum.

Congratulations on your progress so far! It's great to hear that you've been able to make positive changes and have seen positive results.

It sounds like your system is working well so do keep up with it all and let us know if there's anything we can do to assist.

That's great and I'm pleased I'm not the only one who adds peanut butter to Greek Yoghurt! Quite a few non-diabetic people have pulled a face when I tell them ha ha

Mind you, I ate this before I was diabetic so it's not a new thing for me. Quite delicious though!

The only time I add peanut butter to Greek yoghurt is to make a Satay sauce with some soy sauce and a bit of chilli as well.
