Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Joined the forum to keep in touch with others in the same boat as me in the current situation. Hope everyone is keeping safe and controlled. I am controlled through tablets and have been for the past 11 years. 6 years by diet before that. Not always very good with my food choices but keep trying. Will be interested in what people have to say!

Hi and welcome to the forum @WiltshireYellowbelly - Glad to hear you are well controlled - I guess that is all any of us wish for once we have been struck by this.

Hope life in Wiltshire is bearable - quite rural there in places? Ive been through it many times. Hope you are looking after yourself and getting exercise.

Hello @WiltshireYellowbelly and welcome from me as well.
Yes it is good for us all to keep in touch in these difficult times.

It sounds as if you have got your Diabetes under control, but if there you need any particular information we will always try to help.

Many of us find it difficult to make good food choices all of the time, but by my reckoning is if you get it right for most of the time then you are doing well.
There are some sections on the forum that may help with food choices.
https://forum.diabetes.org.uk/boards/forums/food-carb-queries-recipes.4/ which includes a recipe section, and a posting about what some members have for meals, which has some useful ideas.

There is also a special section on the general messages section on current information on coronavirus and how it relates to diabetes.

Please keep posting, and maybe tell us a little about yourself if you wish.

Welcome to the forum @WiltshireYellowbelly

Glad you have found us and connected with our community. We are a friendly bunch and have members from all walks of life with all sorts of different durations and types of diabetes.

There's something very powerful about connecting with others who share the same condition and face the same challenges every day.

Look forward to hearing more about your diabetes story, and ask away with any questions you have or particular problems you find it difficult to work around - someone here could have just the tip you are looking for 🙂

Hi and welcome! Guessing you are originally from Lincolnshire?
