Hi
@Honeywell and welcome to the forum.
If your blood glucose, as measured by an HbA1C test (normally used to diagnose diabetes in the UK) isn't too much higher than 48 you may well be in remission in just a few months.
For Type 2 diabetics, high blood glucose happens because of 2 things: 1. Insulin Resistance (which can sometimes be helped by losing some weight).
2. Eating more carbohydrates than our body can deal with. Carbohydrates include starches as well as sugars, so things to cut down on include Potato, rice, pasta, bread, cakes, biscuits, breakfast cereals, fruit juice and tropical fruit.
Low carb/no carb foods include: meat, fish, eggs, butter, cheese, cauliflower, broccoli, courgettes, leafy green veg, avocado, nuts.
