Hi I've just joined today and look forward to learning and changing my lifestyle completely

Hi @Grant1gc and welcome. Can you tell us a bit about yourself. It is really helpful if you can let us know how you came to be diagnosed and also what your HbA1c was at diagnosis. It helps people to tailor their advice to you. I'm guessing you have a lot of questions so please feel free to ask away. There is no such thing as a silly question on here and there are loads of very knowledgeable people who are more than willing to help

Hi! So - you've already had a blood test - can you tell us the result of that, presumably it will be a number from 48 upwards? Also - what led you up to having that blood test?

Welcome to the forum @Grant1gc - great to hear your determination to make some positive changes to improve your long-term health.

Hope it was a productive meeting yesterday - how did it go? Have you been recommended to start on any medication? Or are you going to manage your diabetes with diet and exercise to begin with?

There are lots of helpful modules that you can work through in your own time in the Learning Zone, alternatively many members here have found Maggie Davey’s Letter and Gretchen Becker’s book T2 Diabetes, the first year, to be a good introduction to T2 diabetes, and its management.
