Welcome to the forum and to the 'club'.

Sorry to hear of your diagnosis, there are lots of knowledgable folks here so please ask any questions you have, nothing is a silly question, I'm sure there's someone who can answer any question you have.

Welcome Trina - sorry to had to join the club. Medication is part of the story, but managing your diet - primarily thinking about carbohydrate content of foods - and increasing exercise - not just sport, but things like walking, cycling, gardening etc, which also have the benefit of reducing money spent on car petrol / diesel / transport fares, producing vegetables & fruit [berries are especially good, as they're low sugar], as well as reducing CO2 emissions from vehicles - are also vital.

Welcome to the forum trina73 🙂

The Gretchen Becker book thats listed in the newbies useful links thread is very useful indeed.

I don't think that the medical profession can really claim to completely understand diabetes, so don't worry too much about that 😉

Hello trina, welcome. Most of us didn't know what it was all about when first diagnosed, but you will soon pick up the essentials and get to grips with the rest in time.

Hi Trina

Welcome to the forum 🙂

Have a look around and ask any questions you have - lots of friendly, experienced T2s here and no question will be thought obvious or silly 🙂
