Dear Jan,

Welcome to the forum - you will find everyone here is more than willing to help. Metformin is the drug of choice for most docs, and if you are lucky it will be without side effects. In any case, side effects usually go away after a few weeks - if they don't, see your doc and ask for an "extended release" version, e.g Glucophage SR.

Warmest Regards Dodger

Welcome Jan 🙂

Hi Jan,

Welcome.

I'm recently diagnosed type 2 too and on 4 x 500mg Metformin as day.

Any questions just ask.

Someone on here will be able to help.

Chris
