Just been diagnosed with pregnancy diabetes . And since have been cramming in every food type I shouldn't. Its like I'm pushing to see how far I can go before I combust or something . Need some help I think
Just to get things clear. I assume that you have been diagnosed as pre-diabetic and that it is not associated with pregnancy. Forgive me if I have got that wrong!
Do you want to tell us how the diagnosis came about and what your GP had to say? One thing for sure is that he would not be advising cramming down food as a good way forward.
take a deep breath and tell us more and we will see what we can do to help.
Receiving a piece of news like this can feel overwhelming and very emotional. Some liken a diagnosis with diabetes as feeling a little like grieving, with the very powerful jumble of emotional states (denial, anger, bargaining, depression, acceptance) which that can involve.
So I think the way you have reacted is not all that uncommon - bit the positive thing is that you have already realised that it isn’t healthy or helpful for you.
Let us know a bit more about your diabetes story and the friendly members here will offer you support, help and shared experiences 🙂
