Junior doctors will boycott review into poor morale

Junior doctors are preparing to boycott a review into falling morale among medics, the Guardian understands, casting doubt on the inquiry, which was announced on the same day the health secretary, Jeremy Hunt, vowed to impose a controversial new contract.

The Department of Health may now be forced to overhaul the terms of the independent review of junior doctors’ poor morale, announced by Hunt earlier this month.

The review is being led by Prof Dame Sue Bailey, chair of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, but junior doctors’ representatives have said they were not prepared to discuss general issues of morale at a time of industrial dispute over working hours and wages, a topic the review specifically excludes.

Just ridiculous to even announce such a review on the same day that Hunt said he would impose the contract - what a complete waste of time and money anyway, and ignoring one of the chief factors beggars belief 😱

Meanwhile on Planet Earth, the real people already know the outcome of the review without a single question being asked or a penny wasted! 🙄 Sheesh!!

A yes - but it's job for albeit one of the girls not boys - and would have most likely cost millions - and he could deliberately delay talking about ANYTHING involving a junior doctor whilst the enquiry was going on, which he'd keep delaying and seeking clarification of and spending even more money - and now he'll be able to say he wanted to help them but they refused to tell him what was up.

"The health service is ONLY IN TROUBLE because of the arsehole doctors" is the message he wants us to believe.

Since it is proven that he is lying through his teeth at every opportunity he gets, I can't believe ANYTHING he or any of his mates say.

Whatever they say would be good for us I will disagree with.
