A High Court judge last night gave doctors the green light to perform an *urgent caesarean on a diabetic eight months pregnant woman who is also mentally ill.
Mr Justice Hayden said the order was "draconian" but the unnamed woman's life could be in danger and she was unable to make the decision herself.
He told the London hearing: "Doctors do not embark on this lightly."
