JSA and Sanctions

More than 400,000 people have lost their Jobseeker's allowance since sanctions for claimants were toughened last year. But are the new rules hurting those they are supposed to be helping? .../ more

It's a fairly long article, but basically the only people in favour of the new rules are the Government. Nobody else thinks it's working.

This really makes my blood boil. It's OK to have rules, but these are stupid, illogical and heartless, designed and implemented by smug idiots who know they will never, ever be placed in a similar position. It disgusts me that people are treated in this way, especially when we know of all the sleaze in politics and the corporate criminals who get to walk away with 7-digit payoffs and pensions. 😡
