INPUT is delighted to announce that our founder, John Davis, has been awarded an
MBE in the 2012 New Year's Honours, for services to people with diabetes.

Now that's what I call fantastic news and long overdue. :D

Great news well a well deserved honour, well done John

This is not a name I know but assume its relative to pumps. Can someone enlighten us newbies please, done a search but no luck.🙂

John is the (recently retired) head of the organisation INPUT, that has helped hundreds of people - including many of our members - to get over the hurdles of getting insulin pumps. 🙂

I'll drink to that ! :D

Well done him.

Hi Slipper as Alan has already said this is the web site for INPUT http://www.input.me.uk/

INPUT said my case was the worst they had ever come across 😱 Hopefully I will keep that title and no one else goes through what I went through in my quest for a pump.
John Davis basicaly saved many a life by his dedication to the cause. 🙂

Yes - Hoorah for him and trail blazers like him.

Not before time!

Thanks all. He is indeed a very worthy recipient in that case, so my congratulations too.🙂

I'm another one who's been helped by John, I spoke to him many many years ago after contacting INPUT and in one phone call he gave me the faith that I could get a pump and if needs be I had someone to fight my corner...

And I can't think of somebody more deserving..

Well Done

I love John Davis. He is a remarkable man. I've met him quite a few times and attended a meeting or two with him. He is amazing and has this ability to push and push and work very hard. He has achieved many things including working on the NICE Guidance and lots of working parties. He works quite closely with CWD on occasions and we all love him and hold him in very high regard.

He has now just retired and will be sorely missed but we have our lovely Lesley and others carrying on the great work at INPUT.

Good news for John Davis and INPUT. Hope he and his guests enjoy his day at Buckingham Palace (or Edinburgh Castle).
