Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
Hi. I wondered if anyone with Type 2 has taken Januvia and how they got on with it. I have a bad history of taking tables i.e.. Metformin and Gliclazide. They both made me very ill. Gliclazide sent me off my head! I have read the side effects and it does make me worry. I would appreciate any thoughts. Thank you.

Yep, I take this along with Gliclazide (which I've had no ill effects from) and get on with it fine - no side effects - no problems. Have recently had to go onto insulin as well. Hope it works for you if you try it 🙂

Thanks for that Lesley - I am still undecided because of the other reactions. Diabetes is a complete nuisance!! Perhaps one of these days they will find a cure.

I have been taking it for a while with no ill effects. General advice is you take it around the same time each day and you don't have to take it with fooe, although I find it works better if I do. It is also helpful to read the patient information leaflet too.
