I found this short video very moving. I hope it’s ok to post it as it’s from JDRF. It dramatises a day from the diary of Frederick Banting. A day that must have seemed miraculous to him and the others there. Whenever I get fed up with diabetes, I remind myself that I’m actually very, very lucky to be able to inject myself with insulin and live my life:

Wow! Was it really like that! Sends shivers up your spine doesn't it!
 
Very much so @rebrascora I’ve read descriptions before in articles - of children waking up - but to hear that diary extract really showed what it was like. It was really well dramatised too.

That was so so powerful expertly told, really was. If only video was around then to witness that scene, we have so much to be thankful for to those pioneers.
