It's Saturday again and the previous 6 days healthy eating is blown out the window with a good Saturday night feast, tonight I will opt for pork and apple sausages with homemade chips and a side dish of fresh veg. Next weekend its my oldest lads birthday and promised him a slap-up Chinese meal........................so looking forward to that too!:D Toby.

Saturday used to mean a "Full English" breakfast. Sadly the cafe that I went to changed hands and it went downhill. The high meat low fat sausages were replaced by low meat (i.e. high carb and fat) ones and the lean bacon by some where if you cut off the fat there was nothing much left! I don't bother much these days as most seem inferior - it has got worse since the recession.

Wow Falcon it's a long time since I enjoyed a Full English!:( The best supermarket sausage and bacon is the Black Farmer range, the sausages contain 90% pork and are truly delicious, but on the whole I do tend to use my local butchers for a fry-up, the black pudding is far nicer than the high street brands. Toby.

Wife's homemade lasagna with garlic rolls and a side salad, all washed down with plenty of red wine!:D Toby.

tonight as i settle to watch X Factor, will have a morrisons bought lamb rogan josh with some rice, a mini naan and a glass (or 2) of red wine 🙂

well just had a full english for my tea. Best bacon, Cumberland sausage and Black pudding. Dont have it much but the grandkids are hear tonight and thats what they love. I dont eat a lot of sausages now as my husband was a butcher and I carnt get sausages like what he made anymore.Thy are not spicey enough now a days🙂
