Sometimes all you want is some 'reassurance' - being told you're doing well; you're doing the best you can and to be proud of yourself....

That conversation took place this morning with my GP - those 20mins with her have helped alliviate some of the concerns and worries I've had since diagnosis.

I am suffering anxiety hence the ailment after ailment (muscular pain;dizzy spells etc) since diagnosis but my GP was impressed with my weight loss; reducing my HBA1c from 7.2 - 6 and my fitness regime.

Just being given the opportunity to talk; ask questions and cry... Reassurance is so important and hopefully following my hospital appointment next week I can get back to being 'me'...

I haven't exercised or tested for over a week (due to stomach problems) but need to ease myself back into it... I've almost forgotton who I AM 🙂

Sounds like a turning point Amanda, I hope this reassurance gives you strength to feel in control, and that you are no longer controlled by 'it' 🙂 You've shown who's in charge - in spades! 🙂

that's brilliant Amanda!! And I totally agree, sometimes all it takes is a little acknowledgement and reassurance 🙂 I'm so glad you had such a great appointment. Well done with your weight loss too...

Onwards and upwards! 🙂

Glad you had such a positive experience at your GP's, Amanda. We all need a little "you're doing well" said to us don't we ? Back on track then ? Good luck and lots of hugs 🙂
