Is it stupid to be worried about this

After thinking this sesnor wasn't going to work due to it bleeding and reading low which corrected itself I sort of have have this anxious thought of it almost being TOO accurate if that makes sense...I've tested it twice to day and both times it's been spot on, but I dunno I kinda like a little bit of a safety net you get when it's slightly lower than your actual readings. Dosen't seam to be much lag between my readings and my sensor either...I've never had one be THIS accurate. My anxiety is making me worry that ill need to be more prepared for any hypos because there won't be as much warning you know?
I hate my brain sometimes

I'm just trying to tell myself it's better than the pervious sensor that was higher than my actual readings..

You’re not being stupid @Sara Grice but yes, you’re overthinking it. If you’re worried about missing lows, just set your Low alarm a bit higher. You know now that your sensor is super-accurate. That’s not a bad thing 🙂

I was looking back at some of the posts on this forum and it was probably a mistake, after a weekend with a faulty sensor and one I thought was faulty I think I am still fighting alot of background anxiousness and I came across a post about toujeo causing random severe hypos cos it didn't release probably in the body and instead acted all at once or something..I think I'm gonna try and do some reading and forget about that fact as I'm on 10 units per night..I tend to have a small snack before bed and live alone.....*gulp* anyway and so far it hasn't happened but just another thing to worry about. Isn't this disease fun on the upside I'm less concerned about my super accurate sensor now cos at least it will still give me warnings lol

Speaking of warning a warning from my doctor about that toujeo fact would have been nice but apparently I have to find out through a forum of all things

The Toujeo/Lantus/glargine hypos are rare @Sara Grice Some people here have used Lantus/Toujeo for years and have never had one. It’s just something to be aware of, like lots of other things out there in the world. It’s a case of being aware but not overly fixating on it. You can always change basal insulin if it continues to bother you 🙂

Hi @Sara Grice, don't hate yourself / your brain. It's natural to worry about hypos, especially if you already experience anxiety either related or unrelated to diabetes. I'm hoping the information and support on this webpage will offer some help to you:

@Sara Grice I am one of these people.
I used Lantus (another glargine insulin like Toujeo) for 12 years and still have it as a back up to my insulin pump.
I have never experienced any of these sudden hypos and my dose is greater than 10 units.
Like you, I have only become aware of the risk due to the forum. No one at my clinic explained it to me - I am not sure how well known it is by DSNs because it is rare.
