So my levels seemed to cope fine with mashed potatoes but we changed potatoes and the past 2 times I've shot up by 4 by bed time, could it be due to the change of potato x
 
Very possible as some varieties are better for different uses.
 
Yes, spuds can also vary in their carb content.
 
I've taken into account the change of carbs and bolused accordingly but it has to be the potatoes as that's the only thing that's changed lol x
