Is it possible to come insulin completely?

i used to be on 110 units a day but though carefull eating/carb/cal counting am down to 62units aday and it looks like thwy may cut it again

Hello, I just responded to your salad carbs topic. It may not be possible to come off insulin completely. But fine adjustments may cut down on your hypo events. & allow for a diet you are happy with?

It is possible (for some T2’s) yes
I’ve a friend who did, he was initially diagnosed as T2 as he knew I was and told me
he couldn’t get his Hba1c down with Tablets alone, he was then on more than one type of insulin,
however eventually he was back on just Metformin,
now a few years later he’s still classed as a well controlled Diabetic
but keeps a good control through diet alone

well done him but im on a fair amount of meds mind u im having tight control due to carb/cal counting and a lot of hard work on my part
