Is it normal to have license changed to just a 3 year one

Told DVLA I had started injecting - which is only a temporary things according to the specialist while I'm on fertility drugs and tryiong to get pregnant.

& Now I have had to send my license to them for them to issue a 3 year one.

Is this standard ? 😡

my license was changed to a 3 year one when I was diagnosed. I have never had any problems getting it renewed though

Hello im afraid to say this is standard practice i got the letter saying they was changing my licence to a 3 year restricted one the day my proper one arrive d( passed my test week or so before diagnosis)

3 years is the most anyone on insulin will get. I have only a year at the moment, hoping it will go back to 3 years when I re-apply next year.

I belive that if you come off insulin because it was either transitional (as in your case) or because of a transplant you can get a full term licence on expiry of the three year one.
