We have recently done a free trial with Libre 2 from Dexcom (due to a severe allergy to the adhesive Dexcom have switched to) for my daughter (age 11) but are having issues getting Libre to scan into the iPhone app so was hoping someone here could help.

The app scans perfectly on my iPhone and also on her mums iPhone but on my daughters iPhone it just won’t scan. Apple tech support have pointed us to Abbott and Abbott have pointed us to Apple. Helpful I know!

I was wondering if there is a lower age limit that prevents it working? I know Apple Pay is blocked for under 13’s so I wondered if as the app is using the same NFC technology if the same is true for the app?

Are any of you using the app on your children’s iPhones? Is it working?

Many thanks

Have you tried changing the year of birth on your daughter’s Apple ID and seeing if the app works?
If it doesn’t then you know that’s not the issue.

I attempted too but you can’t edit it. I presume to stop things like this.

How old is the iPhone and what model/os version?

I'm not an iPhone user but do follow the posts on the issues and there are a number of variations of age, model, software that cause problem. I suggest you do a good search of here and the red forum (.co.uk), Plenty of stuff to fill your weekend😉.
