Type 1
Hello I have type 1 diabetes and an overweight and was considering buying one of these to manage my diabetes more effectively- will it work with my ipad.Has any one got them in the UK ?
How do they compare with other similar devices?
Where do you buy them from or are they available on perscription ?
Thank you for your king considerations and promptest of attentions

I've got one. I love it's dinky size and the app but it does seem to read a bit high and unless using it with an iPod or iPhone the screen can be difficult to read in bright light. As far as I know it doesnt work with an iPad. I think it costs about ?50.

Oh, and welcome to the forum 🙂

I personally probably wouldn't get this as its would benefit those who cant manage to record there readings in a diary of some sort, so as they can make accurate adjustments............

I record in my meter, paper diary and an online diary, so I wouldn't benefit from it..........

Some most definitely would though....🙂

does work with ipad

I was concerned over its accuracy ? Is there any baseline to compare it with or any way to judge its performance?
It does work with ipad got it today and worked OK upto now.

I was in contact with Sanofi after getting some quite variable results (sometimes much higher than other meters I was using, sometimes not). Sanofi confirmed that it is likely to read higher than other monitors you may have used, but that it meets all the accuracy requirements needed (results +/-20% of lab results 95% of the time).

Hope you get on well with it
