Hi all, I am a regular user of the DiabetesUK iPhone app, which I installed an update for this morning. Since then I have been unable to use the app and notice as well that it is not currently available on the UK.

Has anyone else who uses this app experienced problems in the last day or so?

Does anybody have any recommendations for another app I could use instead for recording insulin doses and glucose levels etc??

Thanks,
Claire xx

My current fave is mySugr, which is free to use for the most part.

I also really like DiabetesDiary

Both allow really easy data entry, mySugr is just a bit more fun, and sets you challenges to give free access to the cool features (search, photography etc)

While I liked some of the DUK app, the early version I used lacked some key features (eg data export for printing)

I just wanted to say thank you for recommending Mysugr, it's great and really helping me take control of my sugars. :0)

Glad you like it Claire!

Some people might jump at the monthly subscription for the (very useful) 'premium' features. But I really enjoy the challenges that give those features free for testing/logging/exercising 🙂 and even without the premium features its still a fab app with very good data entry and display

Thanks for the tip on using our app 🙂 Hope you like it!

I'm T1D myself and one of the cofounders of mySugr. Actually, half the company are diabetics! If you want to get in touch, I just registered and am more than happy to answer any questions.

Best,
Fredrik

Hi Frederik!

Nice to see you here.

Feel free to wade in on anything and everything - don't just field queries about mySugr 🙂

Particularly enjoying the JDRF challenges at the mo. Great idea!

Is it available on android?

Not yet. Fruit based only at present as far as I know

Bah! Android gang all the way!

Now getting closer to launching also on android 🙂

If you wish, I can add you as a tester of the alpha version? Simply drop me a line under fredrik.debong@mysugr.com and I'll sign you up as we get closer!
