Hi everyone I'm a 72 year old male and lived with type 2 diabetes for a number of years. To be honest I've never taken the condition seriously. After a recent brevement I'm taken my health more seriously.

I have many questions from alcohol to diet.

Welcome from a 72 year old definitely feeling her age but keeping my blood glucose level stable in normal range by following a low carbohydrate way of eating without medication.
However what may be suitable for you in terms of diet which is an important factor will depend on what your HbA1C is like at the moment and what medication you are taking so if you are willing to share then people will be better able to make suggestions and answer questions.
I got into a pickle as I make some suggestions which were totally unsuitable as the person was taking insulin but had not mentioned it.
