Hi, and welcome to the forum. I was about to say sorry you've had to join us but you seem happy to be here. At risk means your HbA1c is somewhere in the range 42-47 - were you told what yours is? Being at risk generally means lifestyle changes - diet, weight loss and being more active - in order to prevent progression to diabetes itself. Were you given any guidance on how you can try and do this after you got your diagnosis? Some people are, many aren't, but either way you've come to the right place. If you have any questions please ask.
How long ago were you told you were ar increased risk of developing T2 diabetes? Have you decided on a plan of action to try to help your metabolism?
We’ve had lots of members join ‘at risk’ who were able to turn things around by making a few tweaks and changes to their menu, looking for ways to increase activity (it doesn’t have to be ‘exercise’ as such), and losing weight if then need to.
If you read around the forum, you’ll find lots of encouraging and inspirational stories 🙂
