Welcome Rachel. Plenty of friendly and helpful advice on here. Take a look around and ask as many questions as you need to get to grips with everything.
Good luck!

Welcome Rachel from a fellow T2.

HI Rachel. Welcome to the Forum. It is very friendly on here. I had lots of help and advice when I joined following a pre-diabetic diagnosis. Managed to get out of it but gone back up again. Still battling on.

Have a look at the recipes if you like cooking - there are some lovely foods on there.

Hallo Rachel, these people will sort you out, I didn't have a clue from day one in February.....skulked around reading real life info and learned a lot here. Good luck and relax....its c**p but manageable. 🙂

Hi Rachel, welcome to the forum :D do have a good read as there is a wealth of information that will help you get your head around things, remember it’s not just about sugar but carbs are the real enemy. Testing is also key, it’s how you learn what your body can or can’t handle. Have a good look around and feel free to ask any questions you might have 😉

Thank you all for your warm welcome

Hi Rachel

Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis, but glad that you have found the forum. There are plenty of people on here with loads of experience.

As you say it is a steep learning curve at the start, and it will take you time to sort out what will work for you. I know that others have found this books very useful: Type 2 Diabetes: The First Year by Gretchen Becker.

There are other useful links at the start of the Newbies board (track down to the T2 resources, they are there), and do keep asking questions.

Thank you for the information on the book - just had a quick look, will definitely order it.
