Hi, my name is Danielle and I am the Communications and Patient and Public Involvement Officer for the North West London Diabetes Local Research Network, one of eight networks across the country appointed by the Department of Health to support and promote diabetes research in the NHS. We cover not only North West London but also parts of South West London, Surrey and Sussex.
We've just launched a campaign looking for new members for our diabetes research user involvement group, Drive. Drive is a group of people who are interested in making a difference to diabetes research. If you join Drive, you?ll be invited to take part in a range of activities where you?ll be asked for your views on different aspects of clinical research. By taking part in Drive, you will help influence research that is done together with people with diabetes, not to them.
As a member of Drive you will:
? receive alerts via email or post when there are activities that you may be interested in based on the type of diabetes you have
? have access to the Drive members-only website and forum
? be sent a regular Drive e-newsletter.
Or if you just don't have the time to commit at the moment you can choose to just recieve the regular Drive newsletter and to be informed if there are any studies that you might be suitable to take part in.
You can find out more by visiting our website below and filling out the online registration form and we'll send you an information pack, or feel free to give me a call to talk about it in person.
