Vhi Healthcare is planning to introduce a number of new elements to its diabetes screening programme in the coming months, the first of which will see 1,300 people who were identified previously as having a high risk of developing diabetes invited to repeat their screening to determine their risk progression. Over 2,400 people screened by the insurer were found to have either diabetes or pre-diabetes, according to figures released to mark the opening of Vhi Healthcare?s second screening centre in Dublin?s Harcourt Street.
