Has anyone had any issues with getting car insurance after notifying them that you are driving under section 88 while waiting for a renewed licence, I understand the wait is pretty grim ATM.
I stayed with the same Insurance company this year (I normally shop around but didn't risk it), and had no problems - just a straightforward renewal over the phone. I sent off my renewal papers to DVLA on 16 June and no response to date. One poster here has been waiting since April. Were you aware that if you are driving under Section 88 you have to have written permission from your GP certifying you are fit to drive? A previous post mentioned it, and my GP responded the same day. I keep his reply with my old licence.
