I've noticed a pattern that on Mondays I always have these stubborn highs and generally run higher after a weekend on the booze. Is this normal ?

What were you drinking?

I wondered exactly the same as it's never happened to me, in fact the opposite, after when I've been sloshed - there again I've never done that on a regular basis.

Could it be rebound highs after alcohol-related hypos (even slight ones)? I bolus for beer and lager, but prefer sticking to drinks that don’t need a bolus.

Could well be as I do go low most mornings after drinking.

Could it be the sleep disruption caused by alcohol?
There are many things that affect our blood sugar levels.
Typically alcohol causes lows (our livers are too busy dealing with the toxic alcohol that they cannot drip glucose)
