I personally regard the phrase 'requiring robust follow up' as concerning, at the moment, TBH. I certainly don't disagree with the sentiment - but am quite scared about NHS resources overall.
I thought the explanation of insulin resistance was interesting. Also that increased day to day blood sugars prior to a covid infection can make it a lot worse.

That's what happens when anyone gets a virus - the ordinary every day immune system gets going long before it really ramps up and the Tcells are activated and give their help fighting against it too. The reason more men die with any SARS virus than females is because we have a more efficient 'first response' team on our side than blokes.
