Hi Dave,
Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure what my BMI but I'm 5ft 2 and 11 stone so I need to lose at least a stone and I'm finding it harder than usual to do this. In 4 weeks I've lost 5lbs.
I will mention the amitriptyline to my GP as I'm willing to try anything at the moment. They've prescribed me 8 Co-Codamol tablets a day but I'm managing on 6 but, as previously mentioned, they are playing havoc with my bowels!! (Sorry - too much information 🙂). They also said I could take Ibuprofen as well as the Co-Codamol but I've tried this and it didn't make any difference. Can you tell me how quickly the amitriptyline worked for your wife? Also how long did she have the 'frozen shoulder for or is she still experiencing the pain?
If it's not one thing it's another!!
Thank you!!

Sorry to hear about your high morning BG @ClaireM43

I’ve always found larger meals less reliable. And larger single doses seem to be more subject to insulin ‘going missing’ too.

There was a rule of thumb that any meal where the grams of carbs was higher than your weight in kilos would most likely need extra insulin. And often larger meals take longer to digest, so benefit from a split dose too.

Might be worth trying to keep meal sizes down to nearer 60-70g of carb or less until things have stabilised?
