After having some very high readings again i have decided to try some thing else,i was taking novorapid 2-10 gr carbs for lunh today i did 3-15 gr to see if that helps if not ihave appointment with consultant and dsn over the next few weeks so at the risk of making my self look daft im going to ask about going on a pump hey whats the worst that can happen .

Can type2s go on pump? Sorry if that's an ignorant Q but I assumed it was a type 1thing

Hi Caroleann,
type 2's are not allowed pumps on the NHS except in very rare cases.

Have you checked your basal to see what's happening there?
 
I only know of 1 T2 who has a pump (not personally)
But I believe Sir Steve Redgrave has one.

I didn't think T2's could have a pump.

I agree with sue about checking your basal
 
yep checked basal,as for the pump i pretty much know i have a better chance of sun bathing on mars but im still going to ask,probably be kicked out of the clinic for my cheek but if we dont ask we will never learn anything will we🙂
 
Not being funny but have you got this virus thingy or put on weight which might have upped your need for insulin?

No ifeel better then i have in a long time and have actualy lost weight.
