Hi guys. Does anyone know where I can find the graphs that show when Humalog peaks? I thought someone had posted them on here before, but I've had a look and can't find anything. Am trying to sort my Humalog out after a weekend of lows which I think is to do with insulin working before food!

I hope someone will be along soon to help you.

I think I posted this image for the onset, peak and durations for quick acting analogue insulin such as Humalog, Novorapid and Apidra......

This is an extract from the DAFNE handbook, it is only a guide though as each individual may find at least that the peak may come earlier or later and that it could be out the system long before the stated 5 hours..............

Novorapid last about 4 hours for me..............

I hope this helps.........🙂

Thank you. x

Useful. Ta! 🙂

That graph is pretty much what happens with me and novorapid. The really hard bit is trying to time the peak to the food you want to eat by timing the injection - no graphs for my meals and how quickly/slowly they release their glucose only trial and error 😱

Mmmm...not easy is it!? I seem to have spent most of the weekend eating jelly babies after my meals! Grrr...
