It looks similar in some ways to an omnipod doesnt it?

I guess it's a similar principle - no tubes etc., but fairly basic in operation. Of course, it doesn't offer anything like what a pump does since you can't adjust basals! But fewer injections! 🙂

Actually I think this could be a very good option for many people. Although this does have limitations you just need to look at our pumping threads to see that one of the biggest struggles can be getting the pump basal rates correct. It does provide one of the main advantages of pumping that you can bolus as and when you eat while also negating one of the disadvantages of the pump regime that the lack of a long acting basal insulin does maybe make you more exposed to large rises in your BG reading if say you get the bolus dose incorrect. 😎
