A former Borders nurse who administered an insulin overdose to her friend's baby has been struck off for fraud.
Veronica Duncan had already been suspended for the non-fatal attack on the baby, which happened after her own daughter died.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council heard she had been convicted of claiming almost ?9,000 in council tax and housing benefit while she was working.
It decided her fitness to practice was impaired and she should be struck off
