hi, i have been put on to himulin 1 injection a day for my diabetes, i also take 5 metformin, 4 glicacide and a stagaliptin, does everyone stick to a rigid time that they have dinner, i sometimes have my main meal at lunch time but i still have my injection one hour before i eat tea, any advice please, also my sugars have dropped from 12mmol down 5.00mmol

Humalin I is a moderate to long acting insulin, so it's best to take at roughly the same time each day, so that there are roughly 24 hours between each injection. It's not so important how that fits with your meals. It's good news that your blood glucose levels are lower now.

Hi Lynnie and a warm welcome well done on the lower sugar levels, I am on the same as you and I always take my insulin at 6pm as thats 30 minutes before my main meal.
