A DIABETIC died due to a lack of insulin in his system, an inquest has heard.
Ashley Kennedy, 27, died of diabetic ketoacidosis at his home, in Trusley Close, Branston, on Friday, February 10.
A statement from his mother, which was read out to South Staffordshire Coroner?s Court, stated he was a diabetic and had a dropped foot [fallen arch] for which he was also taking medication.
She said he drank heavily at times ? but was not alcohol dependant ? and that, at times, he would not take his insulin.
In the days before his death, he had told family members he was feeling unwell, but did not say it was anything serious.
