What would you do if you'd attached an insulin cartridge to your reusable insulin pen and even after doing several air shots you can still see some very tiny air bubbles?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

You need to hold it vertically (needle upwards) and tap sharply against the cartridge at the point where the bubble is (use a coin if you have no nails like me lol!). The bubbles should rise to the top where you can expel them through the needle.

On pens I didn't worry too much about tiny bubbles appearing in the cartridge. The needle was 'down' when the injection was given so there was little/no possibility of them getting near enough the needle to mess with the injection.

Anything more than a tiny few bubbles and you should prob check the cart to make sure it isn't cracked/damaged.

This is exactly how I've done it apart from using a coin but there are still several very tiny air bubbles.

Wondering if I should just dispose of this particular cartridge 😱

I wouldn't if it was me. The bubbles won't do any harm if they are small and out of the way 🙂

Thanks Mike. They're near the plunger plus probably half way up the cartridge as well so not near the needle end.
