Hi, I’m incredibly dyslexic with numbers and am struggling with working out my insulin. My ratio is 1.3 units of insulin to 10g of carbs. Is there such thing as a calculator that people use? Nutracheck is great for working out the carbs.
Any signposting would be greatly appreciated

the mysugr app has a bolus calculator in it. So far, for me, has been working out fine. (I also use nutracheck to work out mealtime carbs)
I am unsure if it comes with the free or pro version.
If you have an accuchek meter and sync it with at least one test a month then the pro is free but you can also pay for it. My spare meter is an accuchek so it is actually cheaper for me to use a test strip than pay for the app 😉

I use mysugr to calculate my bolus, but the bolus calculator is only available on the paid version, if you want a free bolus calculator there is another app called mylife which was recommended by my diabetes nurse.

menu > profile and settings > calculator option in there to turn it on.
you do need to setup your ratios, target range and corrections etc with the wizard 🙂

There's also my life. However it if however it's gives you the exact amount so if your on pens you'll have do some rounding up or down.

Hope you find it helpful to have a bolus calculator @mollylogan

Made a huge difference to me to be able to make small adjustments to my insulin:carbohydrate ratios and correction factors as they change through the year, rather than sticking to round numbers to make the maths easier!
