Diagnosed only 3 weeks ago with high of 350 & immediately started 12 units of insulin glargine (Abasaglar). Th effect was pretty good & my numbers fell to almost normal). My doctor was pleased and put me on Metformine 500mg twice a day. Her objective is for me to gradually come off insulin & only take tablets. I would love to come off medication altogether
However since I started the metformine, my numbers have gone up, wheras before they were pretty stable. Anyone else had the same thing happen?
