Rang my sugery an asked them if they charge for one of these and they said yes they charge ?15 for the letter😱

Then rang my dsn nurse, she said she would gladly do me one for free,

What a rip off the docs must make a fortune, just for a piece of paper.

Yeah have seen this before on the forum it is scandelous scotty good old dsn though well done to her.x

Agreed. I meant to get one before I few up to Yorkshire last week but forgot. In the event I just told them I was carrying insulin and they didn't bat an eyelid. Might be different if you are flying abroad though.

My doctor told me that my repeat perscription was all that i needed as it lists my medication & has the surgery's address on it,but if i want a letter it will cost me around ?20 😱

I get one from my DSN, just a standard letter which she adds my name to, and doesn't charge. I also take my repeat prescription with me.

Our surgery will give a standard letter which lists all the prescriptions, when last prescribed and saying you need to carry them. They seem to differentiate between that and a fitness to fly letter which I think does cost.
