Insulcheck - do they still exist?

Hi
Since I am easily distracted and can find myself forgetting whether or not I've injected (please don't judge 🙂) for some time now I have been using an InsulCheck timer pen cap with my Humapen.
I have been really happy with it, but after a drop the LCD display is dodgy and the pen clip is cracked.
emails to the manufacturer aren't answered and none of their buy now links show any stock.
As per title, does anyone know if they're still existent?

Which insulins do you use? There may be other options.

Certainly no criticism here. I think most of us know how useful those last dose memory features are. If you are on NovoNordisk insulins then it is incorporated into their reusable pens and they are really great pens.

Would a Timesulin cap be suitable for you @dasc624?

That would be OK, unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a Humapen version.

I use Humalog, and may be moving onto lyumjev (sp?) and so Humapen pen. I've edited the original post to clarify.
Agree about the Nordisk pens.

I think Timesulin have gone out of business, haven't they?

The shop (blue tab above) seem to be selling some?
Yes, might just be old stock somewhere in the supply chain? Or maybe it's just Timesulin US that's closed or Timesulin was bought and is successfully continuing?

OK, looks like it was bought by Bigfoot in 2017, and Bigfoot was then bought by Abbott. So I presume it's just old information (like https://timesulin.com/) that's making me think it's closed down.

Interestingly @dasc624 before Novopen Echo was a thing (and before Timesulin / Insulcheck existed too) I once switched insulins to Humalog, from NovoRapid because Humalog had a pen with a memory - The Memoir.

If you are considering a switch to a more rapid insulin anyway could you perhaps switch to Fiasp rather than Lyumjev (as you’d need to make some adjustments anyway most likely), and get the benefit of the Echo pens?

Is there any reason you might not get on with NovoRapid or Fiasp?

I must say that was part of the reason I changed from Humalog to Novorapid. My Humapen Luxura, the only half-unit reusable pens they did, had become unreliable and had been discontinued for some time, and I’d also reached the “did I or didn’t I” stage!

I’m aware that Novorapid has a reputation for not living up to its name, but I’ve not found it particularly slow, and if I’m at the lower end of “in range” it can be frighteningly quick.

Yes both Lyumjev and Fiasp are quicker for most people.

Switching from NotVeryRapid to Humalog I found them pretty similar in profile to be honest, and it was a straight swap doses-wise. It’s not the quickest, but I find NR very reliable.

Humalog just had a bit more of oomph in the ‘tail’, if I remember right.

I love my Fiasp with a Novopen Echo with half units and smart pen compatibility - highly recommended from me
