Evening everyone 🙂
Today I thought I should inject in my butt!! as I have been injecting in my tummy and thigh and OMG!!! it hurt going in big style!! 😱
Now I have more....lets says meat on my back side🙄 and thought it would not be a problem.
Anyone else found this? or is it me? it's put me of big style, I put it in straight and the needle was not bent, I can't not but giggle as I said I have more meat on ma backside :D

Going to ask the dumb question as never injected, are you injecting it correctly, as heard of people saying it stings. A friend who's type 1 has never said he has any problems with it hurting, will have to ask him next time I see him.

Remember if you are injecting in the backside you have got to sit down at some point after. :D:D:D

Hmm...I often inject in my butt and it rarely hurts. On occasion it can sting a little, maybe you were just unlucky on your first attempt? What size are your needles? Are you just sticking it in or attemptine to 'pinch up' some flesh to inject into? I just stick it in - I use 6mm needles.

I don't use the bit I sit upon ! I was told to use the bit above that, below your waistband. Works for me with cannulas, though I never used it for jabs.

I use my bum occasionally & first when I started using it, I found it hurt & bruised, it was coz I was tensing.
I found if you tense up, it hurts where as if you think of anything other than the fact a needle is going to hit your backside in 5 seconds it doesn't hurt.

It does get easier with practice & time, trust me

Because of the Rheumatics, I find it hard to get the pen into position to shoot myself back there so I tend to stick to my thighs which is an easier target for me and rarely have any pain.

It might be as Laura suggests - if you are waiting to feel it go in and tense, then you are more likely to feel it - TW's advice is also good - at the top of the hips rather than dead centre of cheek! 😱 😉

Ok i have to be careful how i phrase this🙂 i dont often inject in my bum but if i need to because of problems with my arms steve has to do the injection for me but no matter where i inject i always count to three if i dont i hesitate and thats when it hurts.

Funny you should say that I count to 3 as well 🙄
I am going to get my misses to do my butt when I need to rotate sites 🙂

Never use my bum, only legs and tum. Get enough bruises with that sometimes.
