I am interested in experiences of those using 670 in automode.

  • Can anyone tell me how close the sensor needs to be to the pump?
  • Do you need to wear the sensor in the abdomen?
  • What increase in percentage in TIR did you find when using auto mode

I am currently waiting for the 780 but I suspect that some things will be the same.
Many thanks

Is anyone on here using the 670g in automode and can help?

@MrDaibetes may have some suggestions.

I wore both Enlites and G3 sensors in the back of my arm in recent years. I had very good accuracy and restart-ability there.

I could wear sensor on one arm and hang Threepio on my belt on the opposite side and had only very few connection glitches, which resolved themselves.

Can’t help with automode... but predictive low glucose suspend reduced my time below 4.0 by about 80-90% (mostly by resolving long overnight lows)

I wear my sensor on my arm, and the pump on my hip. Sometimes I have had it in my stomach and thigh, but I prefer it in my arm. So no it don’t have to be in the abdomen.

automode is interesting I was pretty well managed pre automode but I have less hypos and my TIR last time I checked was 88% they seem to like it if you are 75% + as this knows it is working for you.

Any more questions feel free to ask 🙂

Thanks @everydayupsanddowns and @MrDaibetes
I am pleased to hear that I can continue to use arms, as I do at present for Libre.

My hopes are to reduce the number of irritating hypos, heading them off automatically rather than relying on me swiping at the right time (sat here having a hypo as I write this after a long day of walking - that doesn’t work too well still)

  • How do you deal with exercise with the 670 in automode @MrDaibetes .
  • Is there a Facebook group for the 670 users as there seem to be very few on here. (This might finally drive me into the 21st century.)

There’s a big FB group for all 6xx series pumps run by Adrienne who used to be a member here.

I would imagine they will expand to include the MM780 when it launches.

I don’t really do exercise and I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on exercise in automode

I’m sure there is a medtronic group on Facebook I am in a few 🙂

Thanks Mike. I may have to bite the bullet.
