IndyCar driver Charlie Kimball feels like about the luckiest man on earth.
After years of driving race cars, in 2007, he was hit with something that could have ended his racing career. While driving in the World Series Renault in England, he was prevented from completing the season due to a type 1 diabetes diagnosis.
He had gone to see his physician for another matter and mentioned to the doctor how thirsty he had been and how much water he had been drinking at night.
He had been weighed a few days before and when Kimball got on the scale this time, he had lost 25 pounds in three days, and he hadn?t even noticed.
