Oh I've heard of IDDT too...they really excellent and have some good info.

Yes they’ve been doing good work for many years.

They used to be the organisation that took spare in-date diabetes supplies (eg left over insulin after someone had switched to a different type) and redistributed it to developing countries

They also did A LOT to get insulin pumps available via the NHS Mike - which Patti and I remember all too well!

According to their draft 2022 accounts it's primarily legacies and donations. They also sell a few things (books, socks, etc.), much as most small charities do.

Had to call them once, they were so knowledgeable & do great work to campaign to keep older insulins in production.

Yes, I heard about them as someone I was on the pork insulin, and they helped her a lot. Every time her team tried to move her off it she would be very unwell, and other insulins just didn't like her at all. Not sure how she is getting on now.
