Been having high sugar levels, when I get up, all week. Changed everything on my pump last night, in the hope that that was the problem.
However, I woke up with a sugar level of 17.4 this morning - so it's obviously not that! Am tired, snappy and fed up with it all.

Any ideas on where I'm going wrong and what's causing such high levels? :(

I'm sorry I can't give you an answer but my levels started doing the same before bed for no apparent reason, yet my waking levels are ok! Been trying to figure it out for weeks and to no avail... I don't use a pump so I'm not sure about that bit but diabetes does baffle me sometimes 😉 Hope you work out what's causing it soon! xx

suzie - if you've changed your pump i'm inclined to think it's lifestyle. are you doing anything different this week? ie exercise? are you doing more walking? what about illness - are you perhaps coming down with something, or have you started eating something new? Are you stressed, is something on your mind?

Unfortunately the unpredictable wheel of fortune that is diabetes means that it could be anything. even, for example, if you've started eating a different make or type of bread at breakfast etc.

I might be wrong but if you've got enough insulin getting in, it might be either 'dawn phenomenon' or a bounce back from a hypo. Sounds like you might need a couple of overnight basal tests to see...fun! 🙄

We could all speculate, but it would seem your basal delivery over night may need reviewed........

its a pain, I actually need to do it again too, as i have also been waking up higher.....

Unlike most of the week, I've remained fairly high all day. On the other days my levels have been normal by about 10.30.
As there are no changes this week, eg extra exercise, different foods etc, it looks like I will have to do night time checks. Oh what joy!😡
Not sure I can cope with the many different things that can affect my sugar levels. - Though I don;t really have much choice. :(
